Royal Hideaway Corales Suites, Tenerife

The Crown Jewel of Tenerife

First Impressions

As we approached the Royal Hideaway Corales Suites, the first thing that struck us was the architecture. The design reminded us vividly of a luxury cruise ship, with its clean, sleek lines and panoramic windows looking out onto the Atlantic Ocean. The contrast between the pristine, modern structure and the raw beauty of its surroundings was stark and breathtaking. It was clear from the start that this hotel was not just a place to stay, but a destination in itself.

Room

Our stay in the one-bedroom Pool Suite was nothing short of extraordinary. This spacious suite, measuring over 80 square meters, was skillfully carved into the rocky landscape, blending seamlessly with the surroundings. It felt like our very own island oasis with a unique blend of comfort, luxury, and a touch of the natural world.

The suite offered not only a bedroom and bathroom but also a fully equipped kitchen and a living room. But what truly set it apart was the large 60 square meter terrace with a private heated saltwater pool. The pool was an absolute treat, providing a welcome respite after a day of exploring the island. Its maximum depth was a comfortable 1.2 meters, making it perfect for both relaxation and light swimming.

The suite was designed for maximum privacy and independence, and the views of the Atlantic Ocean from our room were simply stunning. The amenities were top-notch, including a 55" Smart TV, a home automation system, and Guerlain toiletries. The attention to detail was evident in every aspect of the suite, from the easy-to-use home automation system to the standalone bath and shower.

Dining

Our gastronomic journey at the Royal Hideaway Corales Suites was a highlight of our stay. We dined at San Hô, a Michelin-starred restaurant that marries the flavors of Japan and Peru within a Canarian context. The dishes, crafted under the expert guidance of Chefs Adrián Bosch and Eduardo Domínguez, were a delight for the senses. The Peruvian ceviche with tiger milk and smoked sweet potato, as well as the Japanese maki and nigiri, were just as delicious as they sound.

For lunch, we headed to Starfish Atlantic Grill, located right next to the Corales Suites pool. With a stunning sea view and an à la carte menu, this restaurant was perfect for sampling fresh fish, seafood, and grilled meats. It provided a relaxed, casual dining experience that complemented the more refined San Hô perfectly.

Breakfast was a lovely experience, set against a backdrop of volcanic rock and a cactus garden with views over the ocean. The buffet was extensive, catering to all types of diets and offering a variety of dishes, including classics like eggs Benedict.
